Applying Poker Skills to Win World Series of Golf

The World Series of Golf is a $10,000 buy-in golf tournament that is structured to play like a poker game. Players are separated roughly by handicap/skill level, but it’s not that important in the long run of the game. This tournament is designed for players with medium-high handicaps.
Players then compete against each other for all the cash within the foursome (which could be anywhere from three to six players). Players wager on every shot. They can pass, bet or fold on each just like a round of betting in holdem, so strategy beyond shotmaking will be required to win.
When a player is out of money, they are out of the hole and out of the tournament. Winners will continue on to the next round until the final foursome decides the champion. Each player will be allowed to bring a betting coach/caddie on the course with them.
